Two weeks ago today.
It’s been over three years since I have written in this blog. But I think it is about that time to start it up again. Wow, how my life has changed. God has made me such a stronger person. He has used blessing, sadness, losing friends, gaining friends, sickness, asthma, making life and death decisions, and the most recent… the passing of my beloved Baylor, two weeks ago today.
Some days, I don’t know what to do with myself. Some days, I am strong. Some days I don’t want to get out of bed. I want to hide from the world. But most days, I get up knowing the beautiful gift I have from the Lord is right in the other room, no doubt having the time of there lives, just being with one another. I know I am blessed. I know I am loved. My greatest joys in this world call me mommy. I know that is so cliche`… they truly are the only reason I breath.

It has been WAY too long.
I can’t even go back and think of how long it has been since I have blogged and really “let my hair down”. I am not going to go back from when we were in Seaside. That seemed to be the only time I had to actually think about what is going on in my life. So I will start from today. April 3, 2011. These days seem to be so consumed by Asher’s tree nut, peanut and honey allergy and all that goes along with that. It is so stressful and it consumes my life. But since my boys are my life, it is just one more thing. And it is worth it to keep that little monster healthy. I just never realized how many things are contaminated by those darn little things. It really sucks.
We rarely see Jamus these days. He is working 2 full time jobs and also going to school full time. I feel like I never see him. It was nice to have the weekend together. I miss him. But I know that God has the perfect plan for our family. And I am thankful that our God is in complete control of our life.
I love how my boys are so in love with the Lord. I am so blessed to have little worriers of Christ. This is what I will end you with tonight. It is 11:39 pm and I am beat. Good Night friends.

It’s been a long time!!
Lets see, what has been happening in the Quintana world. We moved to Seaside May 3rd. It was such a big move for us. We live in an amazingly beautiful house. The Lord truly hooked us up. We are about 100 yards from the beach. The thing that freaks me out about the whole thing is they Tsunami alarms that are mandatory in every house that close to the beach.. AWESOME!! *sarcasm*. It has been a busy couple of months.
On June 2nd, Asher fell off Aadyns bed and almost broke his nose. We had to call an ambulance… since he was having problems breathing. He had to have emergency surgery to make sure there was no damage to his sinuses. Thank God there wasn’t. He did have to have 20+ stitches and 1 glued eye. It was really bad but all is well now! He has a pretty awesome scar though.
Birthdays all came and went. It was a pretty non eventful summer. Which is nice for a change. Jamus loves his job up there. We haven’t found a church up there yet, but I am hoping to only be up there for only a few more months. Things didn’t work out with out renter so I am now in the process of finding a new one. I am just so glad that we are not permanent landlords.
Well I have whiney kids right now, so I guess I am done for the moment. I will hopefully have some more time to keep up with my blogs.. =)
Hope everyone had a wonderful day!!

He has RISEN! (Our Easter Sunday)
Happy be-lated Easter everyone! We had such a good day yesterday! The first thing Aadyn said when he woke up was, “mommy, is it Jesus’s birwfday?” and I told him “no Aadyn, today is the day Jesus rose up from the dead!” And he looked at me like a was crazy! But you can’t expect a 3 year old to understand. There are some adults who don’t even get it! So, I just told him “Jesus has risen and we celebrate! And the Easter bunny came!” Well all you have to say is Easter bunny and my boys are excited! They saw what the Easter bunny brought them (monster trucks, they are so into monster trucks). Then we got ready to go to my parents house for an Easter Egg hunt! Which was SOOO much fun! The boys were so sweet! And of course, my mother goes all out. Then at 2:00 we had to go up to my in-laws and we had yet another Easter egg hunt, which was also fun! We stayed up there for about and 2 hours and then went back to my parents house for dessert! We had such a fun and busy day! And the best part about was when Aadyn yells out “JESUS HAS RISEN” Seriously, it was the sweetest thing ever!

To Sea,or not to Sea
I am kinda in a pickle.. My husband, Jamus was offered a job in Seaside, OR. And before last week, I never even heard of it. Well he was offered the job on Wednesday making $25-$35 depending on experience. Well we descided to go check things out. So we made some reservations at a beach house and drove up there the next day. So we get in after driving all bloody day (it is a 6 hour drive… but come on, I have 2 toddlers) So, we get in and have NO IDEA what the town even looks like because it is dark. So after driving up and down 101 we finally found a map and figured out how to get to our hotel/beach house (it was a one bedroom, 1 bath with a tiny kitchen. And we crashed for the night. Then on Friday, Jamus went to work and I explored the town with Aadyn and Asher. It was a long day since I didn’t know what to do and the boys had a hard time playing in a room that was 250 square feet! So on the weekend we played, we went to the beach and to the Aquarium. We had fun. We also went out looking for places to live. We seriously had no idea what the town was all about. Like where the ghetto was or the ‘good side’ of town was. So we ended up going to Cannon Beach on Sunday, and we LOVED it. We found a few houses in our budget that we liked. SO we will se about those.
Monday, totally sucked. We descided we were going to leave that day. SO while Jamus was at work, I packed up all the stuff and loaded it into the car. But check out time was at 11:00. And I know the lady would have let us stay longer if I told her the situation. But she wouldn’t get off her phone long enough to listen to me. So I just left. I also had to tell her something else about the beds. Haha, okay Brandy, I know you will love this one. We moved the 2 queen sized beds together (there was like a wall between the 2 beds) and no one wanted to sleep in the other room with no TV. So we moved the 2 beds to make one BIG bed. Well since we descided we were going to leave while I was taking Jamus to work, he couldn’t move the beds back. So, I did. Well it wasn’t that they were heavy. They were just awkward. I am moving the mattress and then the box springs, and then I had to actually move the medal part that holds it up off the ground. And the dumb thing falls apart. I am trying SO HARD not to say bad words. I couldn’t get it back together to save my life. And I was so screwed! SO I just threw the box spring on top and then the mattress and made it look like nothing had happened… haha! I felt so bad! But she wouldn’t be quiet long enough for me to tell her! Luckily, she told Jamus that they move the beds everytime to vacuum under the beds, so I am hoping that they think they did it! haha!! Oops, but what can you do? So, as if that wasn’t bad enough, I had to find something for us to do, in a town I knew nothing about, for 6 HOURS! And it was POURING down rain! Oh lucky me! Jamus finally got off work! And we left Seaside! And it was a long trip home! But we made it in one piece! And I was so greatful to see my house and my dogs!
I guess if this is what the Lord has in store for us, then we will go! We will just look at is as another “Quintana Family Adventure” Woohoo!!
Oh, by the way; Happy Good Friday Everyone! Jesus died for us today, so we can be with Him tomorrow!!

Just your normal Thursday!
We had a good day today. Well, it started out a little wild. Aadyn always sleeps with us, it was one of those stupid mistakes you make when you are a first time mother. I nursed Aadyn so it was easier for him to sleep with us. The kid never slept. It was until he was 10 months old that he was diagnosed with a “sleep disorder.” So we always just let him sleep with us. When we had Asher, he was such a light sleeper we put him in his crib and he has always put himself to sleep. So back to our day. Asher got up at 2:00 this morning crying… Aadyn was already in our bed (go figure, but now we at least make him start out in his own bed.) I couldn’t get Ash back to sleep so I just put him into bed with us. Hey, when you are exhausted you do desperate things. So lets just say our California King size bed is not big enough for the 4 of us. So I woke up a little tired. And Jamus had to work so I was on my own. I turned on here shows and started making breakfast and cleaning up. I descided it was about time for me to mop my floors. I figured since the boys were occupied, this would be the perfect time. So I get my bucket and my mop and I start mopping. Well you know who, Asher, thinks it pretty neat. So before i know it he has the mop (I went to go answer the phone) and he is splashing water everywhere. I get him away from the mop and clean up the mess. Then I hear this random beeping noise. It was Asher, again, causing trouble. This time he was standing on the keyboard in our bedroom and the computer is beeping because it is like information overload. So i try and get him out of my room and Ash takes off and grabs the mop again, splashing water everywhere. So, I get the mop away again and then he sticks his hand in my bucket of water and lickes him hand and says “yum yum”! The little weirdo! After I got him cleaned up and was about to get back to mopping. I look and he threw his ‘Mater’ in the bucket… After that I got smart and got the gate we use to try and keep him out of the bathroom. That was my mopping morning. Then I had to go to the bank and I got the boys a dougnut. (Crazy I know) Then we went home and played for a little while. And Asher went down for a nap and as soon as he got up we went outside and played! We had to go to Costco, which is always fun. And Asher of course has to say “Hewwo” to EVERYONE! It was fun. but now it is bedtime and I am beat! I have a Chiropractor appt tomorrow with my Uncle John and I am so excited for it!! Have a good night to anyone who reads this!

No, seriously… this was our dinner.
I never give my boys soda. And since they were so good today, I decided “meh, why not.” It was Sierra Mist. Anyways, we were all sitting down for dinner and I handed the boys there soda. Asher’s was in a sippy. And I gave Aadyn one in a ‘big boy cup’ because I figured he is 3 we should start. He does really good normally. Five minutes into the meal, Aadyn was leaning over to talk to Jamus, and BAM he knocked over his soda! He NEVER spills anything. So, stupid me gives him some more soda. This time I told him to keep his cup at the top of his plate. Seriously, FIVE minutes later, BAM he spilt it AGAIN! I am totally not joking! UGH! So, this time I put it in a sippy cup and told him he needed to be responsible with his soda. Yeah, I learned something today: Soda + Toddler = HUGE MESS!!

Aww to be 3 again!
This morning we had quite a few chores to get done. Jamus has to finish putting in our windows and I was going to finish up painting Aadyn’s bedroom and the boys bathroom. (If I never see the color blue again that we be okay with me, haha, not really!!) Well my brother in law, Troy, came over to help with the windows. And he brought my nephew Andrew, 3, same age as Aadyn, over with him. And right now the boys are all really into Monster Trucks. So Andrew brought his red monster truck over and they went to playing while I finished up the bathroom. Then I started listening to there conversation which went a little like this:
Asher: Derderderderder (he talks with his hand, but no one understands him, he is 18 months)
Aadyn: Asher? What you say?
Andrew: Huh?
Aadyn: What you say?
Andrew: Huh?
Aadyn: What you say?
Andrew: Huh?
And this conversation goes on about 10 minutes. Finally, I say: “You guys, if you aren’t going to listen to eachother, you need to stop talking!” And there reply was:
Aadyn: Mommy? What you say?
Andrew: Huh?
Ahhh to be 3 and NOT listen!! Hahah, I thought that was a good funny story that I would share with whomever feels like reading it!

The World is full of stupid people!!
We went out to dinner last night, my father went but ended up leaving because he wasn’t feeling well, go figure… you have the flu!! Anyways, don’t get me started! So we were enjoying our time and everything and then I found out that my aunt was sick too. So I think I need to teach a seminar about “If you don’t feel well, you don’t go out in public 101″ I mean, am I totally out of line here? There are people out there who are fighting cancer, if they get the flu or a cold IT COULD KILL THEM! There are little kids (ex. Asher) who has asthma so bad, that if he gets a cold, it turns into pnemonia… Now knowing that my son could get really sick… I don’t really take him out anywhere… BUT it should be the udults of the world to try and protect these children. Not go and kiss them on the freakin lips when you are hacking up a lung…. Is that too much to ask!! SHEEESH!!

My name is Catrina, and I am a Germaphobic
We are suppose to be going to Shoji’s tonight for my Uncles 45th birthday… Well I have 2 problems, 1.) Is Asher Daniel, he is in the age group were you just can’t control them. We try to take him out to dinner, but it ends up being a total nightmare. And everytime we regret going and spending money on a meal that just wasn’t worth it. And normally that wouldn’t be the only thing holding me back, so that brings me to 2.) My father still isn’t feeling very well. I am not sure if he is going to go or not. But I am pretty sure he is. You know most people learned in like Kindergarden that if you don’t feel well you stay away from others. Aparently, my father missed that day of school! He is usually really good about this kind of stuff… I have no idea what he is thinking. I guess that is a man for you!!
Okay, new subject. I painted Aadyn’s bedroom last night… Just one wall. It is a deep royal blue. It looks pretty cool. I am going to paint the boys bathroom the same color and Ashers wall. And then my next project is to tackle painting my living room… Thats going to be fun!!
